At Lefay Kennels we know your pet
is important to you and the selection of a temporary home is not taken lightly.
We know we cannot replace you, but we are always here when you need us and we
can provide a comfortable and caring atmosphere to alleviate any anxiety your
pet may have.
My pet has never
boarded before?
All dogs are different and depending on your pet's age and temperament it
usually takes only a few hours to adjust
Can I bring my dogs own bed?
We do provide bedding or blankets which are washed and disinfected daily.
However
if you feel your pet would be more comfortable with something from home, please
feel free to bring it with you
Do I
need to bring my own food?
In most cases, no. We are able to provide a number of premium products including
Royal Canin and Fresh meat.
However if your pet requires a special diet please speak
to us when you enquire about boarding.
Are you able to administer medication?
Yes. Any medication must be provided by the client in a secure container and
correctly labeled.
My pet has a long coat and requires brushing daily?
Long coated breeds need regular attention and we will provide this service at no
extra cost
Can I visit the kennels before boarding?
Yes. Please feel free to make an appointment to view our facilities and ask any
question you may have about your pet whilst they are at Lefay Kennels.
What are the Pre-Boarding Vaccination requirements ?
Pets can contract an upper respiratory virus whilst walking, playing in the
park, or even at the vets. There is no way of knowing if an incoming pet has
been exposed to an affected animal or the airborne virus Bortatella and Para
influenza (we require all pets to be vaccinated with the c5 vaccine). Although
all pets must be vaccinated yearly this is still no guarantee that your pet will
not contract a strain of these viruses.
When should Vaccination be done ?
Vaccination for immunity is not immediate. At least 7 - 14 days are required for
the dog to produce immunity. Vaccination is not a foolproof method of protecting
your pet from disease. Occasionally, dogs fail to respond to vaccination,
however this is still considered the best defence against the serious diseases
which are highly contagious.
What are the Standard Terms & Conditions of Boarding ?
All dogs boarded or
cared for by Lefay Dog Boarding Kennels are accepted on the following terms and
conditions:

1. Lefay
Dog Boarding Kennels reserve the right to refuse any dog and no reason need be
given.

2. All
dogs must have a current C5 vaccination certificate to sight on arrival.

3. If
the dog requires veterinary attention the owners shall be liable for all costs
and out of pocket expenses.

4. Unless
otherwise advised by the owner, the selection of a veterinarian for treatment
shall be at the discretion of Lefay Dog Boarding Kennels. In the event of
serious illness or accident where the owner cannot be contacted the veterinary
surgeons decision relating to the treatment of the dog will be final.

5. Boarding
rates are charged on a per calendar day basis irrespective of the time of
admission or departure.

6. The
owner agrees to pay all costs and charges incurred during & relating to
the Dog(s) stay at
Lefay Dog Boarding Kennels (including boarding fees,
veterinary expenses, special services requested & any other charges
incurred). These charges must be paid before the Dog(s) leaves Lefay Dog
Boarding Kennels.

7. If
the Dog is not collected within 14 days of the
departure date, and with no word from the owner to make suitable arrangements
for the Dog to be collected, the Dog(s) becomes the property of
Lefay Dog Boarding Kennels
and the owner gives permission for
Lefay Dog Boarding Kennels
to dispose of the Dog(s) as we see fit.

8. If
a dog is to be boarded for an indefinite period, a Credit Card authorisation and
number must be supplied to allow us to take weekly boarding payments.

9. The
owner releases Lefay Dog Boarding Kennels, its employees and agents from all
liability for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that
may occur to the dog(s) while in the care of, or being transported by, or being
directly supervised by Lefay Dog Boarding Kennels, its employees and agents.
How long will it take me to get to Lefay Kennels ?
The kennels are located
at 875 Richmond Road, Marsden Park in Sydney's north west,
approximately 40km from
Sydney’s Central Business District.
Located just 1.8km from
the Sydney Orbital road network, there is an efficient and convenient ringed
link
to most of Sydney
metropolitan areas using motorways that include the M7, M2, M4 and M5
